Today our readers can preview the first 5 pages of an issue. It would be really useful if instead they could opt in for a 5 minute trial and get access to premium content until the time runs out.
MagLoft: this is a good feature for later. We have planned an improvement of the current preview which will allow publishers to create a full sized preview issue with the pages and page order they desire. This is scheduled for release early April 2019.

Ron KuchlerThis now appears to be part of the new storekit for subscriptions per the apple developer site so implementation of the new storekit would ease development time and speed up implementation.

Nick AdminHi again Ron. We have been discussing this feature internally. It would require quite a lot if infrastructure and coding changes to make the timed access work in native apps. Instead, we came up with a slightly different approach. We can allow publishers to select any pages they would like to include in the preview along with a final page that acts as a call to action. This alternative could be implemented much faster and still offers a lot of value for publishers. How does that sound to you?

Ron KuchlerHi Nick, That would bring you up to par with some other platforms as long as the preview is full screen and not just the thumbnails. The industry has rapidly moved to timed-access so maybe look again at the storekit for Q3 or Q4 deployment for timed-access. Since Apple has included it in their storekit the base code you need has already been provided. It would need to be customized for magloft. But, in the meantime, allowing publishers to choose preview pages and a call to action would be great

Nick AdminAlthough this is a great feature request it is not something we can prioritise at the moment, We will however improve the current preview feature so that publishers can create a full sized preview issues with a last call to action page. We will begin implementation of this improvement during March 2019 and we expect to be able to complete it in 2 weeks.

RonAny plans to expand the preview page implementation beyond 4 thumbnail pages? Potential readers really need to be able to preview content not just see thumbnails in which they cannot read the text on their mobile devices. Please advise.

Moderator AdminHi Ron, we have plan to improve the issue preview feature for TypeLoft 2 issues so the readers can click on that to read the page. We will launch it soon.
