Allow multiple categories to appear under home page category

So I have Beach category of optin article and Ocean category of same. On home page I created a Beach & Home category to place articles but system only allows me to enter 1 category. Can we click on names of multiple categories created for home page so in this case beach and home stories are seen? now only see Ocean category articles because of single option setup. Thank you
